Liposuction has been around since the 1960s as a clinical procedure on demand. The procedure basically involves taking out unwanted fat cells under the skin after breaking them down. Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction (UAL) is a technique that uses ultrasound energy to break the walls of fat cells, liquefying them and suctioning out the fat.
UAL has been preferred when doing lipo on areas like the back and the male chest which have more fiber and are prone to damage by more invasive procedure. The healing time is faster and the scarring minimal. As with any cosmetic procedure, before going for UAL ask yourself if you really need the procedure. A bit of fat is never harmful after all
1. Can your body stand it?
Ultra Assisted Liposuction or any other liposuction requires a healthy individual. The doctor will do the necessary checkups but you know your body best. How well do you stand pain? Are you allergic to contaminants? How well do you like your flawless skin as it is? You must know that all medical procedures have some element of risk and you should be prepared though chances of anything going wrong are minimal.
2. Do you have weight issues?
Undergoing a lipo procedure and then gaining weight some few months down the road could be really disappointing. It can and does happen. Some bodies have difficulty burning fat no matter how hard one exercises. This is resistant fat. If you have yo-yoing weight, it probably is not a good idea to undergo UAL as some of the fat will inevitably find its way back. On the other hand if you have a body that responds to exercise and dieting well, you are set for UAL and long term benefits. You should have the will to stay the course after having UAL. This means strict dieting and exercising to keep the benefits.
3. Do you have the time?
After undergoing UAL you will need 4 to 6 weeks to heal. If you are in physically involving work, this means that you have to take time out.
4. Do you have the money?
miami liposuction is not cheap. Depending on how posh your clinic is, you could spend anything from $2000 to $8000. This is in the US. You could consider going abroad for the operation. The better known destinations are Brazil and Thailand. You could have an operation for under $2500 in a high end clinic over there. Some follow up operations might still be needed to address issues such as sagging skin. These could be but not limited to tummy tucks, arm tucks and so on. The cumulative cost of all such procedures will indeed be costly as you can imagine.
